How Moiety collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Lad Intelligence Inc. ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use Moiety (the "Service"). This policy is designed to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its ten fair information principles.

By creating an account or using Moiety, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this policy.

We do not collect: real names, email addresses (unless you contact us), phone numbers, social media accounts, location data, device fingerprints, or any information from third-party sources.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed. While deleted data is immediately removed from the application, automated database backups may retain deleted data for up to 35 days before permanent removal. Specific retention details:

If you believe any information we hold about you is inaccurate, you may correct it directly or contact us for assistance.

Important Disclosures

Cross-Border Data Transfer

Moiety is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States (us-east-1, Virginia). Your personal information is stored on and processed by servers located in the United States.

As a result, your data may be subject to United States laws, including the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act (CLOUD Act), which may allow U.S. law enforcement agencies to access data held by U.S.-based service providers. By using Moiety, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in the United States.

AI Processing of Receipt Images

When you use the receipt scanning feature, your receipt images are sent to Amazon Bedrock (an AWS AI service) for text extraction using the Amazon Nova model. The images are processed in real time and are not retained by the AI service after processing. Amazon Web Services does not use your receipt images to train AI models. Cookies

Moiety uses two cookies, both strictly functional:

  • Session cookie (httponly) - authenticates your session. Not used for tracking.
  • CSRF token cookie - protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Not used for tracking.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

No Third-Party Analytics or Advertising

Moiety does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. We do not track your behavior across websites or sell your data to anyone.
